VIOLIN & VIOLA
WEN-HSIANG HUANG

Wen-Hsiang Huang, was born in Taipei in 1993. He studied in music classes at St. Dominic Catholic School, Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Senior High School, National Sun Yat-sen University, Conservatorium van Amsterdam and National Kaohsiung Normal University. 
In college years (NSYSU), Huang, majored in violin performance, learned from Tzu-ping Lin. He also attended masterclasses of Gerard Poulet and has won Academic Excellence Awards. During 2013~2014 Huang moved to Berlin and studied with Marina Chiche and received guidance from the following violinists: Bernhard Hartog, Mark Gothoni, Ulrike-Anima Mathé, Lothar Strauß, Serge Verheylewegen, Elisabeth Kufferath, Adam Kostecki.
In 2017, Huang was admitted into National Kaohsiung Normal University for master degree in viola performance by learning from Meng-Hsun Chuang. In the same year, Huang obtained Holland Scholarship to studied in Conservatorium van Amsterdam and majored in baroque viola under the teaching of Shunske Sato and Sayuri Yamagata. During the period in Holland, Huang played lots of chamber music and attended Clive Brown’s masterclasses. He also participated in Sweelinck Barokorkest and started concert tours in Holland and Germany.
In 2019 February, Huang obtained Dr. Hsiao-Shih Huang Memorial Scholarship to participated in VivaViola Hsin-Yun Huang ViolaFest and received guidance from Hsin-Yun Huang, Jui-I Grace Huang and Sang-Jin Kim. In July he won the Special Award of Salut Taiwan Music Festival and performed Karl Stamitz viola concerto in D major during the fest.
After graduating from University, Huang joined Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, Baroque Camerata, Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan Artists Symphony Orchestra, Apex Orchestra, Early Music Carousel and performed nationwide in Taiwan.
